Project Firstline Washington: Infection Control Training

Project Firstline is a nation-wide project supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Washington State Department of Health to provide frontline healthcare workers with infection prevention and control education. This six-part interactive training aims to deepen knowledge, moving beyond the “what“ of infection control, and exploring the “why.” After completing this training series, learners will have the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to protect themselves, their patients/residents, their families, and their communities from the spread of infection.

Each section of this training will cover a different topic related to infection control, from hand hygiene to PPE to cleaning and disinfection. Learners will have the opportunity to explore the content via short, informative videos, interactive scenarios, and knowledge checks. At the end of each training module, learners will be able to access a job aid to assist them in their field work.
